Our Team

Chad Bookidis – CoFounder/CEO

Since graduating with Jams and a Devo World Tour t-shirt under his robe, Chad has notched 25 years of branding, marketing, and business success. He provides veteran start-up leadership, strategic thinking, and customer experience expertise laden with data-driven analysis and solutions. He and his wife call Austin home where he’ll argue that his three hilarious, talented, and busy girls are the reason for his gray hairs.

Rebecca Cole – Co-Founder/COO

Before Rebecca found herself as the cofounder of Happifamli, she spent 12 successful years in engineering at a high tech fortune 500 company and 12 more as a successful entrepreneur. Along the way she became a Texas certified trainer in child care and provides educational presentations regularly to parents and teachers at local preschools and child care centers across Texas. Rebecca and her husband, Mike are the parents of two children who always make life ridiculously busy and full of laughs.

Ashley Salinas – CTO

With a double bachelors in Art and Psychology, Ashley decided to follow the passion found only while working in the webmaster’s office at SMU. She is a self-taught, full-stack developer with a drive to make everyday jobs more efficient and accessible through web-based technology. Ashley is married to her best-friend with two children and a tiny dog who thinks they all spend entirely too much time in front of computer screens.

Cory Lago – Data Science

Originally from California, Cory came to Austin to pursue a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at UT. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health’s Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in Washington, DC. She also has a background in intellectual property law and patent processing. The proud parents of two boys, Cory and her husband, Roberto can most often be found pushing swings, wiping noses and changing diapers.

Kimberly Horek – Events

As a native of the Chicago suburbs, Kim took her studies downtown and received a BA in Communications from DePaul University. She worked in Public Relations, Banking and Customer Service, until she and her family moved to Austin 6 yrs ago. Kim has served as the director of two non-profits, and outside of her two feisty daughters, she is most proud of being a left-handed, middle-child with red hair.
